"Hand Made in Nepal 100% Yak Bone necklace

Purchased in Kathmandu Nepal these necklaces are hand carved out of yak bone and colored naturally to hold through the toughest of beatings. Each necklace is unique in it's design and characteristic all it's own.

Size: 14"" adjustable up to 26""
Weight: .25 oz

The yak bone necklace is worn to help the body balance its essential energy. Wear the necklace and allow its healing properties to radiate through your body. With an adjustable cotton cord on each of the yak bone necklaces, they make the perfect gift for both men and women.

The yak is a long-haired animal found throughout the Himalayan region of south Central Asia, the Tibetan Plateau and as far north as Mongolia and Russia. All yak bones used in our jewelry are the leftover from the domestic population that died from natural causes. This is a Fair Trade item. Bone is used in practice because the more we contemplate death the more fruitful our life becomes. We begin to live life differently and accept that death is inevitable while the path to the end of this life is about service to others, loving all, and being happy (without the pursuit of happiness) in each moment.. through the supposed good and bad.

*These necklaces are NOT waterproof. Keep them away from water and sweat.

How to Adjust the yak bone necklace.
1. Hold the necklace with the knots at the top. Use thumb and forefinger from each hand to hold on either side of the knots. (Left hand hold on left, right hand hold on right)
2. Pull hands apart and away from the knots. You can pull pretty hard!
3. To tighten, pull at the end of the string.

A portion of the proceeds continue to support the people and animals of Nepal. From supplying children with school supplies, University tuition for young women, financial support for local businesses, supplies and education for horsemanship in Pokhara, "Hand Made in Nepal 100% Yak Bone necklace
